A multi-national jewellery seller who sell and distribute glass display cabinets, & jewellery/watches across the country, in addition to many european countries. Selling their products in many different outlets from independent retailers to major chains in large shopping centres.
Issues/Challenges for Client
The cases are multiple sizes, made of glass and hence extremely difficult to store and handle. Previous experiments with larger courier chains to deliver these cabinets led to many claims for damages and issues around packaging disposal. Lead times for the customers right across the UK in this key retail sector are extremely tight and usually require out of hours deliveries, particularly to the major shopping centres.
Fisher’s have developed a reputation for serving the retail sector with non standard and difficult to handle products. In this case we receive, sort, barcode and store the glass cases in our Harrogate facility. When we receive an order we immediately contact the end customer to schedule appropriate delivery, to understand access requirements, timings and any other special requirements that they may have. On site its key that in this retail environment our smartly uniformed staff are courteous and helpful. Our staff deliver, unpack and position the cases in store and take care of packaging disposal.
